VEITS Group attends the 2011 Columbus Chamber B2B Expo!

June 15, 2011

Last week VEITS Group and BEACON Technology Resources had the opportunity to exhibit at the 2011 Columbus Chamber B2B Expo. The Columbus Chamber B2B Expo is one of the largest business to business trade shows in Columbus, Ohio. The B2B Expo was a great place to network and learn about other companies’ products and servces. We felt both our companies certainly got  value out of the expo, and also had the opportunity to meet some really great people, as well! Our entire team had a fantastic time, and we plan on trying to make it back to the B2B Expo again next year.

VEITS Group Volunteers at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank

December 16, 2010

Each year around the holidays we try to do a new team activity at the VEITS Group. This year we had the great opportunity of volunteering at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, located on 3960 Brookham Drive in Grove City, Ohio. The entire experience was wonderful, and the staff at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank were very kind and helpful. The day we volunteered also happened to be the same day the Ohio State football team and head football coach Jim Tressel were there volunteering, as well!

Our duties for the volunteer session included; sanitizing and repairing boxed food items received from Odd Lots, sorting the food items, and then re-packing the items and placing them on pallets. It was an excellent opportunity for us to work as a team, and also provided some very entertaining moments. Overall, the entire VEITS Group team enjoyed our time helping out at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and we plan on volunteering again soon during the upcoming year.

For more information on how you can volunteer at the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, simply follow this link or contact the Mid-Ohio Foodbank at 614-317-9703.

The PMA Suppliers Night Trade Show…who knew Damon’s had wifi?

April 21, 2009

The Precision Metalforming Association’s trade show in Cleveland, OH was an all around positive experience from start to finish.  We drove up from Dublin, OH which took a little over a few hours.  This is great time considering the closer we got to Cleveland, the more snow and whiteouts there were.  Once we arrived, the snow had slowed down and we were able to check in with Renee, who was very helpful, and setup the VEITS Group display.  The next surprise was that Damon’s had Wi-Fi and my colleague was able to retrieve some data he thought had been lost forever.

The PMA show kicked off with a bang inside the Holiday Inn at 4pm.  The banquet room was very nice and the staff was very helpful.  My colleague and I were able to me the individuals displaying around us and this was how we were introduced to the buffet.  If I could use one word to describe the buffet it would be robust.  There was everything from cheeses, veggies, roast beef, wings, mushrooms and more.  The buffet served as a great conversation starter that led into your products and services.

Most of the companies present, as well as the attendees, were connected to the metal forming industry as well they should be.  Everyone seemed to be very easy going conversing with a lot of different individuals and companies.  The friendly atmosphere served perfectly to introduce yourself and your company for possible future dialogue and networking.  There were a few light hearted jokes that were passed between people, including my colleague and I, which made the night all the more enjoyable.

At the end of the show, we packed up the display and jumped on 71 south to head back home.  There was a quick pitstop in Ashland for a few sodas and some Jones BBQ potato chips (which can only be purchased in a few select areas I am told).  The ride home was centered around the different people we met, the networking possibilities, and the positive experiences we took with us from the PMA trade show in Cleveland, Oh.
